What is THAT?

Josh went to charge his car battery on Sunday night so that it was ready the next day for class. (our old sunfire needs a little help after a few days w/o being driven--it had been about 4 days.) It was about 8:30pm...so dark outside and he opened his hood and thought there was something weird in there...so he went to touch it and was like..."What was that??" Then he got the flashlight to check it out...then he came to get me! I was a little freaked when he said that he had something bizaar and sad to show me...but here's what he found!!



It was a rat's nest...with 5 dead baby rats. All we could figure is that the momma-rat had decided to move them in there during the nasty weather we had Saturday. There is no way they had been in there long. He had charged his car just the past week. I thought they might be squirrels at first...but we decided they were rats...anyone know any different? We just don't know how they really died...he hadn't used his car since the previous Thursday...and surely driving around they would have tossled and fallen through the hood to the ground. We're guessing it was too cold for them...anyway...quite sad. I've been looking for the mommy every time I am outside...afraid she's looking for those babies! Then we saw a rat running around outside one of our favorite Mexican food places in town...maybe Bryan has a problem??
