David's Birthday---4 years flew right by!!

I'm SO late in posting of my precious' birthday...but I've been behind on so much lately...what's new? David turned 4 on June 10th. We had his bday party with family and some of my work friends on June 5th (my bday) at a local swimming pool. There were lots of fun slides for big and little kids and David had a blast. Josh's parent's and sister and her kids all came. David enjoyed playing with his cousin Micah, and we got to see Jude again! Sydney brought along her friend Rachel too for someone to hang out with. After the party we had hotdogs at our house and Grammie and Aunt Mauri spent the night. Grammie read the new "David" and "No David!" books she got him.

At 4 years old, David loves Barney (yes, still!), trains, planes, cars...and is usually playing with his tracks and trains in his room or carrying around his planes and cars and making them fly/drive around. He was finally consistently potty trained a couple months prior...although we are still working on nap and bedtime issues...mainly trying to go beforehand. He had his 4 year old shots and still had a fit, but didn't last as long as last time. They also checked his eyesight and hearing and he passed both. He loves temporary tatoos and counts to 20 very well because that's how long you have to hold the wet towel over them for them to stick. We are working on the higher numbers and he'll repeat them with me...not on his own though. He loves to play in the water and on his swings. He would love to play outside more if the mosquitos didn't think he was made of sugar or something. He has a slight temper, but only because he's so sensitive...he's a really sweet and helpful boy and will put away his dishes (most of the time) or try to get things for us...like taking milk out of the fridge for us. He and Sydney have some really cute times together...and some nasty bickering/fights, but I know they love each other. Unfortunately being so far in age they don't have a lot in common right now. Well...here's to another wonderful and healthy year ahead!!
