Bye Bye Buddy...

We are really sad to be saying this...really...but Buddy had to go back to the shelter. It started a while back when he and Mr. Weiner started escaping. At first we thought it was mr. weiner's influence...but then we noticed our fence boards were getting chewed up and our hose nozzel, and our door mat and the dog bowls. NEVER had Mr. Weiner done those things. Eventually the board chewing led to more escapes...and more money spent fixing the fence and bailing the dogs out of the shelter. So this past week it's been EVERY morning they have been getting out. Josh and I decided that if the shelter picks them up again...we just may not have any dogs...or at least give buddy back...but neighbors kept getting them this time (saving us money), and our vet around the corner got them a couple times too. It was just getting to be too much. We tried to love and care for him as best we could and he really is a sweet dog, but we were unprepared for such chaos. Mr. Weiner is still with us so far. I hope he cuts out the escaping now that the instigator is gone. He looks so sad! We do want to find him a friend...but one that fits with our family a bit better...and who maybe will WANT to stay with us! :(
