BLUE RIBBON CELEBRATION!

Sydney's school was named a National Blue Ribbon School...so the whole school celebrated with a "blue" day last friday...complete with high school marching band and a parade of all the classes around the school. I had work at 1:30, but they let me come in late so that I didn't miss out. They just marched around the 4 surrounding streets of the school...but let me tell you...it was kinda long and those kids were pooped afterward. BUT...they got blue gatoraid and icecream sandwiches from bluebell when they were done. The kids were painted blue, had blue spray in their hair, they were asked to wear blue clothes, and the girls got blue nail polish! The kids were all so excited and into it. It was fun!

Sydney's teacher, Mrs. Neff, calls their class the S.S. 2nd grade...it's been a cute theme.
