We arrived at our hotel located in Gaithersburg, VA...last stop on the redline metro train into D.C...and pretty much rested for a while before going out to see what the town was like and getting some familiar grub at a little place called CiCi's (you may have heard of it?). Here are a few hotel room pics...and below that...what the kids looked like as we drove into town! :) We did rent a car despite people suggesting us not to do it...but it turned out to be really great for us to have.

Oh and I forgot to mention...maybe because I try to block the memory of it. Our 1st plane to Chicago for a plane change...Sydney puked before getting on and throughout most of the trip...about 2.5 hours. GREAT. Luckily she did much better the 2nd plane trip (chicago to D.C. 1.25 hours). We figured it was just nerves...she talked alot before the trip about "what if" she throws up on the plan and that she was nervous about it. Mind over matter I guess.
