Houston Visit

The weekend after New Years we spent a little time doing some fun things in Houston. We went to the Children's Museum (David's first time) and he really enjoyed it. His favorite parts were the face paint area and the water works outside...he got really wet...thank goodness we packed a change of clothes. Later we went to the Health and Science Museum to see the Einstein exhibit and see what other cool things they had. Our last adventure this weekend was the Zoo...I was so excited that 2 of my good friend from Pharmacy School were available to meet up with us! :)






The "Flow Works" is an upgrade from the last time we were at this museum...it only had a little river type water play area. This was a flowing fountain attached to the "river" part and once the big bowl filled up it would dump out and there was some splashing outside it's boundaries. :) they also have these water guns so you can shoot water into the bowl and make it gain water faster. Sydney enjoyed that part alot. David mostly ran around the river part with boats and leaves that he'd put in and take out. He LOVED it though. :)




Knowing how much he liked it the first time we passed the face painting table...we stopped to "freshen up" after playing in the water so long. David cracked up at his self in the mirror.




I didn't get too many great pictures here...but this begins our Journey to the Health and Science museum...a first for all of us. I'm sorry...I really don't know what this machine was doing!

This bike was hooked up to the skeleton so that he moved when you did and you could see how your bones and body worked together. Interesting. :)

Sydney didn't like my idea of picking his nose for the picture...so we settled on being eaten alive!
They had a couple 4-D movies there which Sydney really enjoyed. David slept through one and didn't join sis and I for this one.

The Zoo...always a favorite spot for our family. A bonus that Andrea, Jennifer and Jennifer's son Ethan could join us!

Andrea, Sydney, Me, David, Jennifer and Ethan...I was SO happy to visit with them...it had been too long. Plus Andrea is leaving Houston for Baton Rouge for a year or so and I might not have another chance for such an outing!

Jennifer and Andrea left as it was way past Ethan's naptime...and Sydney had a bit of a fuss about not getting to the Children's section...so we stayed...and of course by the time we strolled out there...David was napping. Didn't stop Syd from having fun though!

Carosel Time:
David woke up just in time to get a train ride in before we left! I have a video too that I'll post later. :)
